First and foremost, this is a role-play website. It's about the Harry Potter Second Generation!
Where To Start:
We all know that there are the basic characters that J.K. left us with in the Deathly Hallows Epilogue. As you join, you can select whichever of these characters you'd like to play on this forum. That, or you can create our own original character.
These characters are:
James Potter II Albus Severus Potter Lily Potter II
Rose Weasley Hugo Weasley
Victoire Weasley
Teddy Lupin
Scorpius Malfoy

And of course, there are others! J.K. shared with us that Victoire was the eldest child of Bill and Fleur. And that means she must have younger siblings, correct? And what about George, Percy, and Charlie? They must have kids, too!
Recently, J.K. Rowling released her original sketch for the second generation. There are more as follows!
Now, these are only a few. If you have other ideas for children, go ahead and PM me with ideas. I'll consider them and then post them here. Eventually, I'll post a limit, since we can't have too many Weasley children.
You can even create other Potter or Malfoy kids! Whatever you want, within reason.

How To Use the Diaries/Journals Section:
When you select your character, you are then allowed to post in the Diaries/Journals section. There are four categories, one for each family or character group.
You can start a thread in your family category, and that thread will be your character diary! Only you can post there, but everyone can read it. Post as often as you like; keep us updated on your point of view of the events at Hogwarts!
IMPORTANT: Your diary entries do NOT increase your post count.
If you feel your diary has gotten too full, or too many pages long, you can start a new thread with a new diary. Don't do this all the time. Your diary should be at least 6 pages or more before you choose to create a new one.
Don't post in other people's diaries! If you're caught doing this, your post will be deleted and you'll receive a message. If you continue doing it after receiving this message, your warning level will increase.

How To Use the Houses Section:
When you view your selected character's profile, you find out what house they're in (if you have an OC, you can choose your house). This will determine what House Board you go to!
The House Board includes the Common Room, the Dormitories, etc. Only members of that particular house can post there. These boards are password protected (just like the real thing)! You will receive your house password via personal message once your character has been approved!
Make sure you come out occassionally to the Hogwarts Castle Section to socialize!
You can't post classes in your House Board, because there is a whole other section for classes!

How To Use the Hogwarts Castle Section:
This is the area where you can get together with other members and do pretty much whatever you want! There are five boards to do this!
The Great Hall: This is the place where your Roleplays all intersect. Everyone needs to eat, right? You can play out whatever part of your RP you want to here. You can even start a food-fight if you want! The only rule: please make sure you're actually IN the Great Hall if you're posting in the Great Hall section. It's a little tough to keep up if you don't.
The Library There will always be other things you want to know! You can work on homework here, or chat (quietly, Madam Pince is Watching!)
The Owlery Your "parents" will want to be kept informed! Send out letter here. Don't worry about threads, sometimes they may only have on post. Just hope it doesn't happen too often.
The Quidditch Pitch: This is where you guys can form your House Quidditch Teams! Hold tryouts, if you want, and hold practices. Then you can play games against other houses (This should be interesting, since some family members are on opposite house teams)! Someone can even keep score of the tournament, if they want, but that will be a volunteer position.
Hogsmeade: From the Three Broomsticks to Weasley's Wizard Wheezes to the Shreaking Shack, Hogsmeade has it all. You can shop, hang out, or even set up your own store! Just run your store idea by me in a pm, and after I okay it, you can set up! Enjoy!
The Hospital Wing: Ouch! That's got to hurt! Tend to your wounds here.
The Forbidden Forest: For those of you with more adventurous, or slightly devious, plans, hang out here. Things that would never happen inside Hogwarts walls can take place here...
The Room of Requirement: If you want to form a club with a group of other members, feel free to do so here! But make sure, for safety's sake, that I okay your club idea first before you set up.
Moaning Myrtle's Bathroom: Since the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets has been destroyed, Myrtle's Bathroom has become the hangout for all of Hogwart's Mischief Makers! All their scheming is done here, and it's also the headquarters for the Wizard Wheezes Club! Myrtle doesn't mind; she likes all the company!

How To Use the Classes Section:
This is where you can participate in classes, cause a little mischief if your teachers assign too much homework, and learn new hexes!
There are also extra sub-boards in a couple of them. In the Charms Section, there is a sub-board where you can set up and play HP related word games (Does NOT increase post count). The Potions board has a sub-board for fan fictions (because you're concocting your own side of things!). In the Divination Section is the Image Gallery, a place where you can request or create avatars, or just show off your gallery!
Make sure to do your homework in the library!
When a Class is finished, either I or Teddy Lupin will lock the thread so it doesn't continue unnecessarily. You'll still be able to read it, but you won't be able to post there anymore.
